There is so much I can say about the need for trust when engaging trades people to do a job. Good service at a fair price and with a reputation for honesty and openness will always be rewarded in business. What price peace of mind?
But I would like to hear from others with a view on this or a tale to tell. Are you a customer who has been scammed by rogue tradesmen performing shabby work or overcharging? Maybe you yourself are someone with a trade who has encountered dishonest practice amongst others in your line of work? Either way I would love to hear from you.
Want to share your tips on how to avoid being conned? Or maybe you have some pointers or leads to offer? Everybody wants the reassurance that comes with knowing they will get the service they need at a price that is fair and reasonable.
I would like to offer you the opportunity to contribute your own ideas and thoughts by sending them to me by e-mail for possible inclusion in this blog but before doing so, please kindly read the notes below so that you may have a better handle on what it is I am seeking.
What Kind of Information are you Looking For?
When you have an article published on this blog it will instantly reach a wide audience. With some 14,000 visitors every month your thoughts will reach out to more people than you ever imagined possible, sharing your advice and ideas far and wide. Our visitors want to know where they can source legitimate, honest tradespeople and are looking for the best help and advice they can get.
Having your article published on this site will also help you to build your own reputation and search engine authority, and can be used too to generate useful backlinks. Direct visitors to your social media groups and pages and build those too.
What Should You Include?
Ideally any article you submit should be in the region of 600 to 800 words long. If you want to include your contact information (add a short bio and a picture if you like) that is fine, or I will publish your item anonymously if specifically requested. As for subject matter, that is your choice – just so long as it is fit for publication and on-topic. Any amendments I make would usually only be to correct any typos or basic grammatical errors.
If you’re looking for guidance, take a look at the list of suggestions below. You can incorporate any or all of these into your article, or indeed you can offer something completely different. As long as it remains on subject, it is your call to make.
